School Ethos

St Peter’s College is a Voluntary Catholic Secondary school under the Trusteeship of the Bishop of Ferns. It is central to the purpose of St. Peter’s College to promote Christian values. These values permeate all aspects of school life.

The pursuit of excellence in teaching and learning is integrated with the holistic development of the child. The school understands that each student is unique and strives to nurture their individual creative, academic and physical development as well as their social, emotional and spiritual wellbeing.

St. Peter’s College is an inclusive and diverse community that works in partnership with parents/guardians to support students to reach their full potential. The school recognises that achievement in all areas of life is built on hard work and perseverance.

Truth, honesty and justice are promoted among the school community. The Principal and staff also play a central role in realising the values of equality, fairness and respect, both by their witness and by their example. In their professional relationship with the students and with each other they reflect a level of care and concern for others that is the hallmark of a true Christian.

Students are encouraged to live by our school motto ‘Disce Prodesse’ (Learn to be Useful) and leave the College equipped to serve society as good citizens.
